    Job Search Resources

I would suggest doing some digging in your field and look at specific companies, especially the smaller ones. I've had decent luck finding a significant number of job postings directly on a company's website that I hadn't seen anywhere else, and I've had a few interviews from them too - just to...

Looks great, I can't wait to receive it! I'll post some pics of my own for those interested.

In response to the kickstarter idea, which I think is a good one, I would recommend checking out Gustin. They do something similar and it seems to work quite well for them; in addition, from what I've heard (I have never ordered from them) they are remarkably good value for the money.

Should I buy this amazing $6940 Tom Ford suede jacket?

I personally think TF does casual better than they do formal, but to each their own. On topic, coat isn't that amazing IMO. It seems like a somewhat simple and rather awkward looking jacket if I'm being completely honest. If you really like it, look for it on sale.

Next bottle in the liquor cabinet? (for cocktails)

I'm actually a big fan of St. Germain. My only issue with recommending it in this case is that it is a fairly.. nuanced flavor. For example it mixes well with gin but does not alter the flavor SIGNIFICANTLY. Definitely noticeable, but the OP may be better off going for something a little...

Next bottle in the liquor cabinet? (for cocktails)

If you don't have a triple sec (and even if you do), I'd recommend Cointreau. It is in easily a third of the drinks I make on a regular basis; plays well with gin, vodka, tequila, even rye. Other than that, maybe a cognac or brandy? Get a middle level one like Courvosier or Remy Martin, good...

Not that I know of... I used a variety of ways to get the measurements and it wasn't at all scientific. I looked at the measurements of Cucinelli vests online, figuring I was in between a small and a medium. This was just to make sure I was in the right ballpark. Then I looked at my shirt...

Just ordered a Cucinelli-style vest in the grey wool flannel fabric, I wanted to test it out with a cheaper fabric before committing to one of the Dugdale or Hunt Winterbotham fabrics. I'll post pictures as soon as it arrives, for those curious.

Naked & Famous Mixed Box Twill Skinny Guy Size 30

Bought these online, but they are unfortunately too small for me. Naked & Famous Mixed Box Twill, Skinny Guy fit size 30. Brand new, tags still intact. I literally tried them on once and knew they were far too small for me. I would trade for other denim size 30, or for sale for $60 shipped.

    The Significant Others of MC

Every time I wear a dress shirt with jeans I tuck it in, she untucks it. Then I tuck it back in again. Every single time... she too likes the somewhat messy/not trying look. Though I'm slowly converting her

    Where to find Suede Sneakers?

Puma might have something you like. Other than that, I can't say. I've discovered that finding decent-looking sneakers is next to impossible. Also, you might have better luck over in the Streetwear and Denim forum.

Thick MOP Shirt Buttons: Yay or Nay?

I prefer a fairly thick button but not Borrelli-thick. I really dislike thin buttons though so if anything, I'd choose thick over thin. That said, I do see it as a bit of a modern trend that may come and go as time passes...

I would also be interested in a jacket similar to the Boggi so popular here. I'm also curious at the confidence in making a product so different than a shirt, though. Not doubting, just curious. Seems like a large step.

    Shirt dilemma

Agreed. And I was amazed, Del Posto in NYC used to require a jacket, or at least strongly recommended it. Last time I was there they seated a guy with torn jeans and an untucked casual shirt... It's really frustrating how everything is becoming so casual.

    Shirt dilemma

You can very rarely go wrong by wearing a sport coat and dress shirt, no tie. That would fit in my interpretation of "smart", though based on that I'm guessing they just mean don't look like a bum.

Closet Photo Contest - Win one of Three $250 Hanger Project Gift Certificates

Congrats on the kid on the way Kirby! I just entered mine last night online, unfortunately I don't have the pics on this computer to post here. Oh, and as to storing shoes in boxes I just don't have the room, plus I get a fair portion of my shoes second hand and they don't usually come with...

Bespoke Tailor: British Custom Tailors, Boston MA

I'm in the Boston area and have never heard of them... Also that deal seems geared towards the less knowledgeable consumer who is looking for an interview outfit or something, I'd be wary.

Agreed, I think listing the mill is one of the many ways you positively distinguish yourself from other competitors. I'm not sure I see the point behind labeling everything Luxire, as the customer knows they are buying from you and is trying to differentiate between your different fabrics.
