Thorogood American Heritage Moc Toe
Got my Heritage Moc Toe boots in classic tobacco. Finally nice boots with exchangeable insoles. The leather really is great. They're softer and slightly less roomy than my Red Wing 8881s (may be the orthopedic insoles too). I'm really glad I finally pulled the trigger. I'll shoot a few pics...- elduderino

I'd go with a heavy pomade. Oil-based pomades don't harden up - which is good because you still won't get out of recombing your hair after removing your helmet. Sure they'll stretch a bit, but if it's that tight it hurts, I'd look for another pair of wider chukkas. You could maybe try and let a professional stretch them, but the risk of them losing their shape is one I wouldn't take.
