It's just marketing, as is all fashion "tech" gear. The built-for-megastorms jacket is just schoeller c-change (which hasn't exactly taken the actual outdoor gear market by storm), for example. The indestructible puffer is dyneema, the whole point of which is to be strong for its weight... and...- snow

It's just hype. The only reason to make a jacket (or almost anything) out of dyneema is that it's strong for its weight. If you make a jacket out of dyneema but then use 600+ fill power down (this is what you get in a uniqlo puffy) and make it weigh 2.5kg (this is insanely heavy) you are just...- snow

If you want waterproof you can get waterproof-breathable or just waterproof. In the first category it will be waterproof and breath (a little) but water can push through (for example under backpack straps) and the fabric will eventually lose the water-repellent coating and "wet out" in rain...- snow

TOJ Peacoat 46 + length Black/black
