Had a question out of curiosity: I am looking for a discount code for MyTheresa and came across the usual websites- none of the codes worked. For those who know about the ins and outs of the retail world, where do these codes come from? Are these just spammers trying to lure people to a different website via the code site, or do these codes actually have some legitimacy?

Nearly none of those codes will work, ever. They are called affiliate code farm sites, and the entire purpose is to get you to click through and buy something, and take the commissions. They are the bane of sites like this, since the moment you click on a coupon, many times the site will open in the same tab, and then put the coupon site in a new tab (devious buggers) and any sales wilol be credited to them instead of to us. Any legit platforms and websites hhhhhhate those guys, and the good ad exchanges and ad networks refuse to work with them as well. Basically, they are the bottom feeders of the internet. They provide no value, since those codes are nearly 100% garbage, and siphon sales commissions from legitimate sites.
