I would go with your barrie size plus a half (7.5EEE) and use a tongue pad. I felt the same way with my shell tassel loafer on aberdeen. The tongue pad makes them perfect and has lasted effectively for years.- ReppTiePrepster

I have had similar issues with my chrmxl LWBs. I’m guessing some would disagree with me, but what I did was place a small sized tongue pad in the vamp (stuck it to the roof of the vamp) area to fill in that space and it has worked brilliantly for me over the last six years.- ReppTiePrepster

I think the Coniston is more versatile as you can dress it up more than the Islay, but the difference isn’t much. I have both and wear them in similar settings. The Islay is a little more rugged making it less dressy, imo.- ReppTiePrepster
