I think Bute Fabrics made just the green Donegal twill and the PoW they feature in that editorial. Those two both drape differently in photos with a sense of greater density and heft, so I suspect there is extra weight to the green though I haven't handled it myself. If it fits like the top photo, I'd stick with that size. Shoulder seems a little too clean for the style on the check; not bad but the relaxed nature seems better with melton and workwear inspiration here. I have both. The Kaptain Sunshine is thicker and much more dense with its melton wool - the coat I grab when it gets truly cold or windy. It feels impervious to the elements, even though it's only partially and lightly lined, and has a great A-line silhouette as well - but also more structure...- ponderosa

That's it! This is how the coat is intended to fit. 36 was okay but perhaps a little too clean for the style. Should be sweeping and billowy, as it is here -- looks great, just might feel a little different than what you're used to. Bals are supposed to be like wearing blankets.- ponderosa

I think you'll get more mileage out of the grey herringbone in general. I can't speak to weight on these; have the navy and while it's not the heaviest fabric, it has some loft/sponge and is good for most weather up to really whipping wind (which is happening where I am, incidentally).
