I agree, I'd be the same. Sadly, I don't expect to see any more $500+ cameras in my neck of the woods. GW has taken out their glass cases, and anything that used to be worth putting in there seems to go straight to the internet. For scratches, or for other internal issues (like fungus or excessive dust) you can shine a small flashlight up through the lens from either end. It should make most of those issues very apparent. One for the block list. He claimed the part I sold him was defective (this is the “developed a crack” guy for anybody who remembers), and I finally got the return today. Yep. In the initial return request, he said it developed a leak. In sending the picture I posted, he said that he went through it and noticed a crack developed. I'll update with ebay's decision.- Patrologia

Have we always had to refund shipping? I don’t get a lot of returns, and haven’t had one in a while, but I don’t remember getting my own shipping refunded when I’ve needed to return something. Every single time. Actually, FB marketplace is the worst for this for me. On the rare occasion someone actually has read the description I almost want to just give them the item for free out of gratitude. That looks awfully like feedback extortion to me.
