I often get very particular and challenging alterations done by Daniel Custom Tailor in the Yorkdale area and Moda by Francesco at Bathurst and Wilson. Both have lots of experience with Bespoke and pattern-making. They are not as expensive as the Yorkville area tailors.- Duff_Man

Don't marry yourself to the notch lapel. Peak lapel will help it really stand out. If you're wearing a black suit, really embrace the accents to make it clear that you are doing black fabric on purpose, not by mistake. One-button is good. Kevlar in Clothing & Blends(?)
Maybe some abrasion resistance and tear resistance. That amount of kevlar is just for novelty or for its stiff hand. Also, when talking about kevlar in terms of ballistic or slash resistance, they generally have to talk in 'layers' as opposed to composition. Don't expect anything to be cut...- Duff_Man

Huge response! Thanks. SuSu is the only place that carries them, but not in grey :/ I've tried some other places such as Club Monaco and J. Crew and the shorts are all cargo and casual. I do plan to wear them with linen structured jackets and no socks, just to (partially) alleve your concerns!- Duff_Man

Tumi Men's Wallet quality?
Quality is 'enh.' Definitely sufficient for daily life for a few years, but not the most luxurious or durable stuff on earth. Tumi is mass market stuff at a premium price point.
