They have said they won't consider til at least fall. And they have said in fall there will likely be a shell option at retail.

I would join the list for any other color than brown, but, do not think this goes anywhere anytime soon.

Depending on level of customization allowed (i.e. last GMTO allowed for different soles and got a shell tongue), I'm on board, even if there is a retail option in the fall

I think we need to talk this seriously. Make sure how many people commit to buy. At least I think we should have around 10 people. Then we can talk to AE. If AE insists 15 people, it would not be too difficult to find another 5 people.

I was under the impression after speaking a few months ago with AE reps in store (not the best source) that they would be re-opening the G/MTO after a short break, in the fall/winter. I don't know why that old build would be dead if others are still interested in it. Does anyone have new info I don't know about?

This was a group order that already was built. It was not part of their lineup. They have paused / stopped any kind of MTO with exception of sole changes. This has been the policy for a while now. MTO may come back but right now there is no clear indicator when that might be if ever.
