Which are the best Italian brands for tailored clothing?

At some point it becomes a factor of personal style. Wearing a Kiton suit coat is like wearing a sweater. Wearing a Brioni suit coat is closer to wearing a suit of armor. Isaia is cut slimmer and in the long sizes longer. Belvest seems more austere with nice fabrics but not near the quality of the other top choices. Unfortunately I have been retired now 8 years and living where I do, I haven't worn any suit even once in those 8 years. That I suppose is more a function of location and lifestyle, but I do wonder about this full closet often.

Brunello Cucinelli by far is the best Italian brand! It’s been covered on other threads and evidently it is the best brand hands down!!

Too rich for my blood but they do have a cult following!! The label itself it worth the price tag for most nothing else matters!!

I presume you are being sarcastic. I have a few sport coats and the quality of construction is not on par with its peers like Brioni or even Belvest.

I hope you are kidding
For me for relax fit i always take my Cesare A suits since they are all drop 7, while for a more slim fit i always go with Kiton drop 8 or Isaia
From the start when i tried an Brunello C jacket i have to make so many alterations...and even with all of those, collar gap for me was a stop gap
On the other hand Kiton, Cesare and Isaia were on point from the start, clean back, no collar gap, just some sleeve adjustment and back length (On Isaia normal length not even that, just the sleeve adjustment)

I think even Canali and Corneliani are a far better construction and fit compared to Brunello C. Brunello should remain an go to for knit cashmere and suede garments thats all

To all of you intelligent folks yes I was being sarcastic!

Happy New Year! In good health and hopefully not even a sock in your wardrobe from BC.

I second Belvest. I have both Isaia and Belvest. Both are(were) excellent value for
quality. Problem with Belvest is that they make for so many retailers, models vary, so it
is hard to find a favorite cut, if the retailer changed their model. I have a favorite suit and
sport coat in a model made for Wilkes in San Francisco. They dropped it about a decade
ago. I sometimes see it on the web, rarely in my size.
