Actually, they kinda did- there was a scene where Gyllenhaal was exercising on a boat and he did a couple of Tai chi looking moves. No befuddled old farmer looking on, though.

The movie was sadly lacking bewbs. Another way in which the original was clearly superior.

You really have to admire that he made the first one boring AF with a bunch of it in slow-motion to extend the torment.

The videos of him describing the characters in Rebel Moon are hilarious. This character is super athletic with a six pack. This character is a reluctant hero. This character is drak and brooding. This character is a fierce fighter. That literally describes every character.

My daughter wanted to watch Blood Moon. My wife, knowing nothing about the movie said OK. We're just to the part where Conan rides Buckbeak. In slow motion, of course.

F*ck me, this movie is terrible.

I'll never forget taking my kid, I think she was 9, to see Lord of the Rings.
Halfway through Boromir's way too long farewell speech while he was full of arrows, she said...

No, not that one. The good looking one who doesn't talk much, but has a tragic backstory.


And I know we sh!t on Snyder for using slo mo every five minutes, completely undeveloped characters, laughably bad dialog, and oversaturated color, but we haven't spent nearly enough time on how he always has a guy running and leaping off a tall object to land on a flying object (in slo mo, obvi). He did it not once, but f*cking twice in this sh!tfest.

I hope the new Netflix management quietly gives him a severance check and sends him on his way. By most accounts, he's a likeable guy and I felt bad for him after his daughter died, but he should never be allowed behind a camera ever again.
