The local answer to Pliny is Avery Brewing Company’s Maharaja Imperial IPA.

Leap Year cocktail

which I didn't know existed until today, and, while decent, probably won't try again for another four years

I thought it was my lucky day when I went to my local liquor store and saw Yellow Chartreuse in stock. Then the clerk rang it up and I saw that the price (already expensive) had jumped to $99.99. :fu: I like it, but not that much. Looks like I'll have to go without Chartreuse cocktails unless an alternative source opens up.

Oh man this has been a bit of a slog for me too.
I pay for Wine.com Stewardship, and back in Jan I saw they had Yellow at 69.99 locked behind Stewardship. I bought a bottle along w/ some port and some blanc de blancs.
My shipment magically disappeared somewhere along transit.
Fedex copped to it, and Wine.com agreed to reship. Except they were now out of Chartreuse.
A small (not that small) part of me is convinced my package was stollen just for the Chartreuse.

They have it back and I placed an order 2 days ago. Hopefully it actually arrives.

Carthusians are refusing to increase supply supposedly. Maybe they are still embarrassed from that time the Vatican told them to be monks instead of distillers.
