A research question for the hive mind here: can anyone enlighten me on the quality of Jarman Regency shoes, and are they/can they be handmade?

Back in shoes finally. Florsheim shell LWBs rebuilt by Martin Sugg - new welts, JR soles, toe taps, grommets, and Vibram heels.

Once the heat breaks, back in shoes until the winter seeps in.

Happy Sunday, shoe friends.

Happy Tuesday forum pals. It is sad that one can no longer go down to the local Florsheim store and buy a pair of these.

Vintage Violation for Wingtip Wednesday. My first pair of man-shoes, purchased new at one of the last brick and mortar stores close-out sale in 2003. Made in India-Burgundy. They just may be my favorite and most comfortable pair. They received new heels about five years ago followed by a "patina" with burgundy dye mixed with a few drops of red and a touch of oxblood paste-wax polish.

Happy Thursday forum pals. Some Florsheim PTBs for errands. Speaking of PTBs, I ran across a pair in black shell that Vcleat says are rare. 92650. Suprisingly, they were a EEE width. Not being able to resist, I pulled the trigger and they will arrive in a few days. Pictures to follow.

Not that we need an echo chamber in this group, but I think it's an assumed blood oath/duty to buy rare shell in a rare size.

Yeah, that is pretty much my policy even though I KNOW I have too many shoes at this point and I should be selling and not buying. The Florsheim black shell PTB has been on my list since I started this thread in 2016, but it was generally not in EEE and @davidVC says they mostly stopped production of them in 1980 unless it was some special order. So, the old intense desire must be satisfied when the opportunity presents. Pics from the listing.

I'm going to purge quite a few pairs that don't fit me well, or bought in desperation (e.g. 9eee, when I am 8.5eee).

Plus I'm attending the Stitchdown Boot Camp in October, and expect to buy a few pairs. I also have 2 pairs of shell incoming (8.5eee Florsheim LWBs, and a pair of Indy boots in 8.5ee).

If anyone else is a boot enthusiast - see you there!

Happy Florsheim Friday forum pals. I must say the Stichdown boot camp is tempting and I can drive there in a few hours. I will have to give it some thought.
