This Thomas Manglesen framed print is, I believe, the most expensive thing I’ve bought from a consignment shop. But the current price is $1495.

I’ll put this on my the wall in my office and list it…

I paid considerably less.

I should add that years ago (2003-2006), I worked in a professional photo lab that did film processing, printing, framing and mounting, specializing in fine art nature and landscape photograph. As far as I can remember, Manglesen wasn't one of our clients, but we did work for folks like Galen Rowell (Galen died before I started working there, but his gallery in Bishop, CA was still selling his work as of when I left that lab), Frans Lanting, Jim Gavrilis, Charlie Cramer, Bill Atkinson, and a bunch of others I've forgotten.

When I saw this print on display at the consignment shop, it was obvious that I was looking at an exceptionally well printed and framed piece. It's a Lightjet print in a really nice frame, and was produced in 2010.

Sorry to milk this but I've been organising the haul.

Here's the heavier hitters.

I also picked this one up today. I think it’s a menu from a French restaurant. I’ll take the frame apart later to verify.

It doesn’t appear to be all that valuable, though there is some collector interesting in these. If nothing else, it’s cheeky fun.

Nice vintage sweats. The two on the right are unwashed and unused it seems.

I can’t believe the glasses at the bottom of these bins. And still in decent shape. Orange peel finish helps, but still such a delight.

This brand is new to me. They have some proprietary process for these cords apparently and they shimmer like they should. The modern cuts are a bit painted on for my taste. The pair I found is *muah*, even a couple sizes up haha.

RIP Martin Greenfield.

That's too bad to hear. When older tailors pass away we, as a society, lose something very valuable. Have always wanted a Martin Greenfield for BB suit, but never found one quite my size. I've sold several and probably still have several buried deep in my menswear shop - They're really a step above the other BB lines, even HF. Lots of handwork, extra stitching, hefty canvassing, etc.

I'd say my favorite work he's done is definitely the wardrobe for Boardwalk Empire. It's just astoundingly beautiful, historically accurate and representative of an era:

Usually I never wear yellow, but I recently thrifted this vintage flecked Brooks Brothers Shetland wool sweater and now I think I like yellow? (With a thrifted Levi’s chambray M-65 jacket, thrifted Christopher Cloos sunglasses, estate sale denim dad hat and thrifted Levi’s corduroys).

Ain't nothing wrong with yellow!
