I am getting married September of this year, and my future Father-in-law was kind enough to pay for a bespoke suit for the ceremony. I am currently searching for a pair of shoes that will do justice to what I expect to be the nicest suits I will ever own.

The suit is similar in color to this mid blue suit from suit supply. While I know brogueing is for more causal occasions, I feel that something similar to a quarter brogue would be appropriate considering the wedding venue is a rustic farm themed resort.

In regards to color, I am drawn to colors like G&G vintage cedar, but without the ability to see many of these shoes in person I would appreciate any first hand advice of how the G&G color would pair with the suit or if any of you have color recommendations from any companies with MTO options.

I don't have experience with that specific G&G leather, but i think the combination you choose looks good -- the leather color (as it appears on my screen) and the style. Either a semi brogue or an Adalaide (the second is the name of the style in your photo) would look nice with that suit.

Would only say that this reddish color may be hard to wear outside the context of this suit. If you want something you may be able to wear in the future with things such as grey suits, you may want to opt for a more neutral mid-brown.

There's a thread on this forum dedicated to Gaziano & Girling's shoes. You may be able to ask members there for more photos and info about that leather color.

Congrats on getting married, btw!

I think the shoes are fine. Dark brown would be more versatile for future use, but as is, they’re fine.

I’ll echo @ValidusLA, G&G lasts can be a bit tricky to fit so don’t assume it’s as easy as ordering your size.

If you must buy online, do so sooner than later so you can return and get a different size. Also, G&G is not some large, mass production company. You may find yourself out of luck for a particular size and color and having to wait months. Good luck and congrats.

Post a pic of the final ensemble when it’s done.
