Just got back from a ****** workout. I usually do three exercises per muscle group at 4x8 and today I could only muster two exercises per group. Called it quits after the second exercise.

Felt so lethargic and low energy, like my body was going to give out through each set.

Wondering if it's cause I only had a cup of greek yogurt for breakfast, but damn, everything was completely off.

Could be that. You could also not be sleeping enough or you could be getting sick.

Still, one off workout is hard to pin down unless there's something really specific you did off. If it starts happening often, then it's different. Did things just feel heavier/worse or was your head just not there?

I don't think I'm getting sick, but I did go see a doctor this past Tuesday re: my tingling / pins and needles issue. He said it was likely overexertion from working out too often and that I need to take a week or so off to get some rest. It did get better as I took a couple days off. Also got a urinalysis and blood work done and all checked out.

But I went back to the gym on Friday night, took yesterday off, and went back today. Who knows what it is. I'm hoping it's just an isolated incident as I've had a very lazy weekend just lounging around doing nothing. Didn't drink either.

Diet has been kinda poor in that I haven't had any significant carbs since dinner last night. Optimistic it's just today.

Sometimes it happens.

Be happy you still got some exercise in - it's better than nothing.

You'll be better next time around. No point overthinking it.

GF probably what Hendrix said, but I wonder if it's somewhat related to the tingling your doctor mentioned re: over exertion. I know when I overtrained on the running side of the equation, I started pushing up against a little bit of chronic fatigue syndrome. Every two or three weeks or so, I'd have a 'dead' run. I found that it would happen around the time when I felt my legs lethargic even going up the stairs.

Back from two weeks in Thailand. Didn't get as in shape as I hoped but wasn't a total disgrace around the pool either. I managed to train like three times a week there but the hotel gym was rubbish.

I've cut quite a bit water weight though... got food poisoning, weigh nearly 3kg less than when I left :brick:
Feeling weak, exhausted and look depleted. Managed to get a workout in the day after coming home and maintaind strength but now I'm sore as hell.

Time to start getting in shape for Xmas holidays.

thinking about joining a school boxing club, they told me it's 90% running, I've lost a lot of mass and bit of strength, not sure about goals but just trying to fit into undercover size 4.

Good overall.
Maintaining a decent physique for my current goal (somewhat looking like I lift while still being slim and fitting into designer clothes).
Able to train quite a lot without aggravating my injuries. Strength slowly going up towards my previous level.
Arms gaining in size. Enjoying lifting.

Figured out how to work around my injuries. Just work out to maintain my physique, though I want to be more consistent about yoga. Sorted out a meatless diet and the cut was a success (down 10 lbs, i think i could stand to lose 5 more) though grad school starts this week so I'll have a little less time/energy to focus on it.

Fitness and clothing are both sort of secondary interests now. Cooking and wine and outdoorsy activities have taken precedence.

I reached my fitness goals eight months ago -- then got married a few weeks ago and force-fed rum and sausages by our personal butler on honeymoon. Now I'm up a whole pants size, am afraid to take off my shirt, and desperately looking for a way to lose fat in a hurry, which usually takes me awhile. Hence the reading of this thread. :(
