My Bradford’s were my first proper bench made GYW shoes. Just coming back in to the season when I can get a lot more wear out of them!

Enjoy yours!
My “firsts” were a pair of captoe derbies from Peal & Co… clearly made by CJ - and led me to start collecting more - including the Bradfords :)

Connaught in earth green suede, cross-post from the C&J MTO Central thread:
They look fantastic. There is just something in suede oxfords that appeal to me personally and I have no idea why. I like the Oak suede color currently in the catalog so much that I will probably get it, but this green looks so nice and versatile as well. Is this the Earth Green they use in Chiltern?

Congrats on the MTO - I think you nailed it.

Not the best picture, but timely. Just touched down in Seattle. Here’s a Peal & Co. brogued Chiltern in what was called sage green. It looks a bit browner than the earth green.

Yes, it is the same Earth green as used for the stock Chiltern.

Thanks. I just noticed you actually detailed the color on your post, which I read hastily. I would be curious in knowing how you intend to use the shoes? Are you planning to use them with formal outfits or maybe dress down even to wear with jeans? Or maybe both?

I find my suede oxford pair surprisingly versatile. It is just the tan like color that spoils it a bit and I would prefer the Dark Oak suede that C&J has on the Connaught II or this earth green, which looks faboulous.

Holy crap I am completely in love with my Islays, they are so comfortable, with a little extra room, while still being a good fit with dress socks and tighter lacing. The leather is only only supple and flexible but the grain really hides creasing, scratches and marks. It's imo the perfect "any situation" leather. I am also now a big fan of brogueing, it just looks awesome and really makes a shoe look interesting and characterful without being too formal.

I really now want a pair in black scotch grain but with the Dainite city sole and not the ugly Commando sole.

Would anyone be interested in a GMTO for black Islays with the sleek city sole? :)

Actually, I will use them for more formal wear - which nowadays means slacks, wool trousers, flanels. There are no longer many occasion to wear a suit for me. Depending on the exact model, suede oxfords could also be paired with chinos.
