I've saved over 7,000 of the best of Tumblr / Pinterest / sartorial blogs - both classic and street / workwear on my Pinterest

it includes good stuff (vintage, too) that shows up on eBay from Rubinacci, Kiton, Borrelli, G'abo, Sartoria, Attolini, Isaia and the like all saved in one place

I look at it as preserving history and keeping the good stuff before it gets deleted from the Internet

I must admit that I don't post particularly much - I should make an effort to update more frequently.

Re: IG -v- Tumblr, Instagram is usually more "personal" and people can comment and get responses to comments. Tumblr often seems to be more formal, less relaxed, and there's much more reblogging.

Tumblr is a good platform for an interview or narrative brand story but the fun is happening on Instagram. I used to get 100+ Likes on Tumblr for an average nice post (I've had many over 1,000 and even one over 12,000) but these days even a good story or unique photo doesn't quite get the response it used to. That is one of the reasons I went to Instagram. Plus, more people are post their own photos and use less styled editorial shots. 95% or more of my Instagram shots are mine and shot with my phone. Rarely do I follow people who use stock photos or editorial styled photos which now seem to dominate Tumblr.
