NON-Slim Fit Pants. The Anti-Mabitex Thread

I recently decided to get back into powerlifting and eating absurb quantities of food and my quads have ballooned back to freakish size while my waist has mostly been held in check. The problem is that I simply cannot find a wide selection of pants at a respectable/affordable price that even come close to fitting me.

J's offerings through Howard Yount are perhaps the best retail bargain I have ever seen but even the 38's are skin tight on my legs (Waist = 35-36). I have ordered discounted offerings from Lance at VCH which were returned (great service, by the way), and am now the proud owner of 2 pairs from the recent Mabitex orgy and my wife asked me if I was headed out for a pride parade.

I am in the thriving metropolis of Rochester, NY, which means that I have no Syms, Daffy's, etc. so online is my best route. I am looking for wonderful fabrics like Ed's, J's, and like the super 130's gray and light gray flannel from Mabitex that look like they were painted on me.

Are there any options for those with thick legs in the same quality/price ratio as the slim fit options previously mentioned? Alternately, are there bespoke options I could pursue without breaking the bank?

Tomorrow I shall wear shorts to work in protest (not srs).

MTM from mytailor.com will run you $200-250. Not sure if he comes anywhere near you.

Measure your quads. I do legs 4x a week and play hockey, my thighs are huge. I am wearing a pair of Brooks Brothers milano fit as we speak.

26.5". Squatted 395 ATF last Friday, so there is a plus side. Tell me yours are at least that big and I'm checking out BB....and yes, I think we are still talking about quads here.

Rochester is the home of Hickey-Freeman and Adrian Jules, among others.

There must be some outlet store, or someone who can do MTM for you.

OP: I am only 24", but the milano isnt close to being snug on my thighs. You could give the clarks a try.

The Hickey Freeman factory, which I suppose is useful if I lose my job and decide to learn a new trade so I can make my own pants.

Adrian Jules is here, indeed, and the owner is a good friend of a close business acquaintance. I really do need to spend some time in there but right or wrong I assumed the price point might be a little steep. Have you found MTM options locally under $250 or so?

I'm a 36" at the moment....usually more like a 35.

I sympathise with you OP. I have the same problem, my quads are about 30" and thats after I just recently tore my ACL. Generally, the only thing I can do is size up and hope that creates enough room for my meaty thighs. I usually just go from a 36 to a 38 in order to accommodate. I have no experience with Mabitex, but from the posts on them in the forum it seems as if they were not made for guys like us. Good luck and please post any brands that you find accommodating for thick thighs.
