Ok, here's the problem. And yes, I've tried searching for other threads but couldn't find anything. Most of my plain white tee's (hey there delilah) are pretty thin IMO; American A, Hanes, Fruit of the Loom. As stated, they are pretty nipply. Sometimes you can even see my areola.

Mine are pretty prominent, especially since I'm pigment-gifted. And when it's cold out...

Same thing goes for my button downs. I only have somewhat cheaper ones, but all the plain white ones are pretty see-through, i.e. you can see the undershirt worn beneath. Whenever I dress semi-formally with slacks+tie+white oxford, you can always see my undershirt. So far, the oxfords I've had were the cheaper H&M, BR, Van Heusen, etc. and one from Brooks Brothers. I hate it when I see my undershirt and I need to change this.

So what I'm looking for are mid-range to lower-high-end items that have a thicker construction. Haha, I know it's a weird price range, but basically it's for a high-school kiddo.

Just something a step up from these brands.

Thanks.

Champion - can find it at Wal-Mart I'd say. Goes great with a pair of Faded Glory raw denimz (selvage).

How about for those oxford button downs? I do wear an under shirt, but that's the problem; you can see the outline of the sleeves.

Oh, and about wearing a wifebeater under the tee, how about with a v-neck tee? What's a step up from AA tees?

I don't know if you've tried this but I have a really thin white dress shirt from H&M that I got for about $16, and yes, it was a nipple shirt. But I also got a long sleeve crew neck tee for about $13, although you can get that anywhere, and I usually wear them together. That way, you don't see any undershirt or nipple. Unless you unbutton the top button, then you'd probably need a V-neck.

Brew some tea and soak your undershirt in it to stain it. Let dry, iron, and wear under your dress shirt.

Some Pinoys do this for their undershirts when they wear a barong tagalog. It basically makes the undershirt less obvious.

Oooh, I think I'm gonna try that tea thing. Just gotta try and get the right shade to match my skin, haha.

And any input for the v-necks? Just looking for shirts that are a step up from AA. I'd say it's like

Hanes < AA < _____ < those other super expensive ones
