Tell me more about that seersucker.
@Newcomer Nice seersucker suit! Maker?

Thanks guys. It is Kent Wang RTW. Fit well right out of the box. Some fit issues here and there, but works great!

Seersucker looks awesome, Newc. Do you have a madras tie? The one you're wearing is nice but seems a bit formal for the suit. Either way, interested in hearing more like UC.

Thanks, JC. However, I have to disagree w/r/t the tie.

I think your thoughts regarding the formality of a seersucker suit likely stem from you being in CA rather than LA. In LA, and the South more generally, seersucker is often considered appropriate for business (even conservative business). I wear seersucker to meet with clients, to go to court, etc., and never catch a glance. If a seersucker suit is not worn with a Ferragmo- or Hermes-esque tie (which is maybe the most common, yet often cringe-worthy, decision), it is typically worn with a neat pattern. I also, often, eschew white bucks for either tan, mid-brown, or even dark brown shoes, depending on the formality.

Although madras + seersucker makes sense (i.e., both have an anglo-indian feel), I find that combination can be a bit heavy handed.

Also, this tie is cotton/linen tie, has a bit more texture than pictured.
