Hi, I'd be grateful if anyone could shed some light on the maker of these shoes. Can't recall seeing that logo before and neither a google search nor my local cobbler could help!

There is a discrete controversy brewing about the longstanding SF allegation that the tag below idicates that it is made by ATTOLINI. The tag is found on Luciano Barbera Sartoriale, which many claim was made by Attolini. This claim is now being called into question. Would someone please lay the controversy to rest by posting definitive photographic proof connecting the label to Attolini ? Thanks

Dude claims Alden says theyre not Alden make. WTF with makers denying their own make? Or at least knowing less than we do about their own hallmarks.

Do the AE shoes for BB have the same kind of heel pad? IIRC a lot of the AE for BB have a combination heel instead of the standard AE rubber heel. I suppose the only way these aren't Alden is if AE for BB has these heel pads, which I doubt.

Also, how confident are you that the guy actually spoke with Alden? Did he speak with someone at HQ or just some sales rep in a store?

Hard to know; I'm taking him at his word.
