Hanging Trousers From the Cuffs

I have deformed the cuffs on some of my trousers because the weight put too much pressure on the cuffs and wrinkled them.

This seems to happen more on my 120 weight trousers, and more to my summer suits (that spend more time in my closet) than to any others.

I have the "fancy" rod and bar hangers, and make sure to hang my pants over the bar "unevenly" so as to get a similar effect of a clamp hanger. I have never had any problem with creasing, probably because the wood rod is not too tight against the metal bar. I don't like clamps because I worry about too much stress and stretch on the fabric. But that's probably just paranoia.

Well, those actually aren't terrible, as far as creasing goes -- certainly better than a 'fancy' wood hanger with the interlocking wood and wire rods. And you can't beat the price.

Though you could use the clamp type and hang from the waist...
Hello all. If interested go to your dry cleaners and purchase a few of their curtain hangers. They have a stiff tube on them that is 18 inches long and 1 inch in diameter. Plus the wire hanger is more substantial. No wrinkles and can fit 2 pairs of trousers comfortably.
