Fair enough and cannot opined on UK site or experience but in US we do not have those issues so most people don't pay attention to that. Also think most clothes / shoes sub $1,600 are exempt from import duties.
Do you have a source for that? I don't doubt you but I would like to educate myself on it.

After kicking myself. My MTO is cordovan, and just over 800. *insert disgruntled noises)

If you guys are referring to Carmina MTO you will not pay a duty in the US. It may be because of their locations in NY or it may be that they are covering the fee, not sure. But there will be no fee.

I should add that surprise import fees are always unpleasant. My guess is that the 1st time it happens you are forevermore keenly aware of this potential expense with future orders. At least that's the case with me but then I am also the guy evaluating return policies and other obscure terms & tidbits. ?

Man, I literally laughed out loud at that one. Lets just say that any lawyer worth having would say "it's better to have personal knowledge than to cite to some random person on the internet."
I'd definitely agree with that. Or at least know where to find the case law

Wait.......even if it's shipped from Spain bc my last MTO pair said it was imported from Spain.

Yes. I've had several orders shipped from Spain with no duty. Are you suggesting that you paid a duty on this MTO pair? If so, when was this? My last MTO pair was a unique circumstance that I think resulted in them shipping through NY, honestly can't even recall, but that's not been my experience historically.

No, I wasn't. I was only asking since I've received orders from Carmina that are imported from Spain and from NY or NJ. Reason why I was asking.

Certain international sellers now collect a Nexus tax on behalf of the majority of US states. This new tax took effect in July 2021.
I am currently in Florida and Carmina now collects this VAT on their behalf, NJ seems that is not active yet.

Which loafer last has the most generous toe box? I have some on the Genova last and find them to be very narrow, just a hair narrower than fits my feet. I am wanting another pair though that has a wider toe box while still having a nice narrow heel
And has anyone tried stretchers? Would it be worth it try and stretch my Genova loafers and see if that helps?

Thinking of going custom for jodhpur boots, the model with the wide strap in black vegano/calf. Looking for opinions from Robert last owners, cuold it fit the jodhpur stylewise? I'm after something slightly more rugged than Rain/Simpson/Inca etc. Forest cuold be another choice. I have a pretty high instep. Thanks in advance!
