wanted to point out that Marks and Spencer now carries over a dozen suits in 36L, in a variety of cuts (slim, super slim, XS for smaller frames, etc). Shipping to the US is now only 15£.

They even carry some 34L.

As the body type of Americans and Europeans are quite different, there is not much of a market for 36L (or even a 36R) in the US. I have seen a 36L Isaia jacket in Europe though.

Curious question from a slim but short guy: What keeps a person looking for a long from getting a regular? Is it the sleeves or jacket length or both? I realize that people's decisions for long varies. And what with fashion now making shorter jackets more acceptable (that is if it isn't comically short), all other things being equal, whats the general height one must be to completely disregard a regular.

UPDATE FROM GERMANY: pretty much every department store in Germany carries tons of suits in 38L (and even 36L). Euro brands like Hugo Boss, etc, but even brands like Tommy Hilfiger, who don't sell that size in the US.

I'm 6'2" 145 lbs and a proper fitting suit would probably be a 35L if anyone made one. All of the size small blazers from the gap that i've ever ordered have been pretty much a 35L-36L and they are way cheap (75.00 - 100.00)

I don't think so? I have never seen a Long sized anything jacket or suit at Zara. Nor their website.

update:

there's a German brand called Linus, has boutiques in all the big German cities. Has fantastic 36L suits and jackets. And damn affordable
