Friday Challenge May 20, 2016 : The particular jacket challenge

All type of jacket are allowed, as long as it is not a classic suit jacket or odd jacket.

I would like to see typical jacket from your country, field jacket, saharienne, maremmana, fancy back jacket, teba etc...

In order to integrate this jacket in something a bit more formal than a walk during the weekend, please wear a tie.

The outfit should be worn this week or last week, DEADLINE for submissions is Saturday, 21 May 16 at 24 : 00 swiss time. Poll will expire on Monday, 14 Mar 16 at 24 : 00.

Poll expire tuesday at midnight.

It is quite obvious that there is a French Speaking Conspiracy to conquer StyleForum (and then, the World)

I like this new challenge, and i'll try to make an outfit.

It's not obligatory tho wear a jacket from your country, just something that is not a classical jacket.

Madras are classical odd jackets. It's just a matter of fabric/pattern.
You might say that slack Jacket are not, but... I don't Know. I don't think that was what bienluienapris was thinking about

That's the problem, who gets to decide what is classic? The challenge host in this case, but it depends on what place and context you are from. Teba and fancy back jackets are pretty hardcore classic if you ask me. Besides, madras is a fabric, not a particular style of jacket. Madras can be made into any style one wants.

I was more thinking about the cut of the jacket than its fabrics.

Yes.
What i mean is that i think that BLEAP was saying "classical" as "tailored with no out-of-the-ordinary specs" such as fancy back, etc...
Well, BLEAP should precise his thoughts.

Should the fabric be of influence?
