Not that I want to poke j in the eye, but I think the look is much better sans tie. If you scroll past that image, from the jacket button up looks like one thing, from the jacket button down another. I think it works best when worn more casually with an open necked shirt.

It's cool, it would probably be more congruent if I had a slim fit OCBD shirt instead, and if you could see better that the shirt is pink and not white. In the pic the top does look kind of formal, I agree.
