Can I see a zoomed out photo? Its hard to see what we are looking at.

I genuinely think the JMM releases over the last year have been really poor. I don't see Jeromes DNA in any of the new designs and I actually question whether he's even designed some of them and started handing over to junior designers. The shapes are really under-developed and anything decent...

JMM advertise the width of all of their frames on the website. A Jmm frame is anywhere from 145mm wide to 150mm (I think)

That's interesting. I never noticed the name change myself. I wonder why they changed it?

After watching the recent interview with Jerome, I couldn’t help but notice how his demeanor has changed since the last time I saw him a few years ago. He seems to have developed an air of confidence, bordering on cockiness. While it’s true that other brands have emulated his distinctive style...

Jacques Marie Mage - Wolves, Obnoxious Acetate and The American Dream

Working in the fashion industry, I know it is hard to stay on top of inventory, especially when you are a luxury brand producing in small numbers. I hear regularly that JMM are cutting back on distributers and stores but I'm not sure how much truth there is too it. At the end of the day, I...

They don't have much of a footing into the UK. Paris perhaps and possibly Milan.

Jerome said on his Instagram that he spent a month in Europe recently. Probably looking at new store locations.

In recent years, much of the buzz around JMM has been self-generated. They strategically showcased frames on their website, promptly labeling them as ‘sold out’ within 24 hours. However, the truth was that many of these frames were still making their way to physical stores. Over the past year...

Ebay are pretty good at dealing with fake merchandise. If the brand reported it, it would be taken down immediately.

If the fakes are good enough, people will buy them and the fact that the Chinese factories can copy them says a lot about how technically advanced they are in frame production. JMM frames are complex pieces of art. It's harder to fake the internal workings of a Rolex watch.

There's a crowd in China selling all of these fake JMM glasses. I think they go under the name Globo Specs on Instagram. JMM needs to get on top of it or they will end up like Moscot with nearly identical products littered all over Aliexpress. They should have someone internally reporting all of...

The brand has blown up over the last year and people are cashing in on ebay. Also, a lot of the stuff on eBay is stores flipping stock.

Jerome, initially the primary designer, now occupies the role of Creative Director at JMM. Over time, JMM has expanded its design team, and Jerome’s influence has shifted. From the brand’s inception, he has maintained a partnership with a strong business partner.

Does anybody know much about how JMM operates in the wholesale market? It's something that has always interested me about them because I used to work in the eyewear industry and I often wonder how they allocate such small numbers of products to stores. Is it very much a case of first come first...

Jacques Marie Mage - Wolves, Obnoxious Acetate and The American Dream

I suppose what I mean is, he brought back the thick acetate look and did it in his own way. Now a lot of brands are doing the same thing and probably wouldn't be doing what they are doing currently if it wasn't for JMM. I'm not sure where his inspiration came from as it was very revolutionary at...

Are the colors and shapes getting less interesting or is that just me? I feel like a lot of the new colors are missing a translucent layer on the temples so not really worth the price. They are probably geared at selling at a high margin online or its the beginning of the JMM cost cutting.

Jacques Marie Mage - Wolves, Obnoxious Acetate and The American Dream

Research has thought me that a small brand in its first few years produces between 60 and 250 pieces per style. This is usually broken down into roughly 30-50 pieces per colour. I listened to an interview with Katy Vada recently who backed this up. A medium sized brand produces around 450-500...

What a lot of people don't realise is that this measurement includes the material either side of the space under the keyhole so 26mm is about normal for a chunky frame.
