I have 8 pairs of RM's and I've never had any issues with needing to break them in or pinching at the heel on any of them.....go back to the store. Is it possible its the wrong size for you?- proteinnerd

The two way zip on my trailmaster is also very VERY finicky to get started. I don't think that part of the operation gets any easier with wear but the actual run of the zip as it zips up can get smoother as the metal wears in. Despite the story behind how the hide actually came into being, I assuming there was an exchange of leather for cash? You can justify it to yourself however you want but ANY exchange of money for elephant hide is going to further the illegal trade in some way, even if it is just some douche...- proteinnerd

When I worked in the RM London store we were told no to shoe trees. This is 20 years ago now and I don't remember if they said you don't NEED to or you SHOULDN'T. @jsd642 Also, a motorcycle leathers repair specialist should be able to fix that slash and make it almost invisible, I've seen amazing examples of repairs on racing leathers after the rider goes down and the leather suit looks almost new.- proteinnerd

I've heard of scrunching, putting in a tumble dryer on no heat and using fine grit sandpaper all being used to distress a leather jacket but what the hell are they doing by ironing it with a hot iron? That one I've never heard of....anyone know what that is supposed to achieve?- proteinnerd

I have both DFC and CC and the DFC are more comfortable to walk in. I would only buy DFC if I was in the market for a new pair and will probably get my CC resoled as DFC when the time comes.- proteinnerd

Lamb generally is not going to be a "long lasting" jacket, its too soft and is damaged easily, it is also known for stretching and losing shape over time.- proteinnerd
