Cheers Bro, what do you want to hear? You're always stunning. Joke apart, both suit you really well. That's not a given to be honest. Florentine tailoring doesn't work that well on me. I find both very well balanced although I'd give a slight ++ to the Florentine tailoring as the Neapolitan one...

Here the cotton version (Caccioppoli) of a solaro suit, here by W.W. Chan. Got inspired by Daniel Meul (Pauw Mannen) for this order.

What are your opinions on shorts?

I cannot disagree with that. I'm not athletic and shorts have a boyish look on me but hey, when it's 40 degrees C, I'm not putting those Ambrosi trousers, even in Linen...

What are your opinions on shorts?

I love this. Where are the shorts from? Any idea?

Best tailor for a bespoke or MTM jacket in Rome?

Here’s a more recent one. And another one

Best tailor for a bespoke or MTM jacket in Rome?

When I want Italian tailoring, he’s now the only one I’m buying from. Still love what he does. Otherwise I order a lot of WW Chan due to the price point.

Best tailor for a bespoke or MTM jacket in Rome?

To give you a flavour of Ripense, that’s rather a typical SB suit of his. I love his DBs too.

Best tailor for a bespoke or MTM jacket in Rome?

It’s a very distinctive style, Aloisio. Very academic and closer to Milanese/British tailoring. Never been my cup of tea but nice details ok his garments. Sartoria Ripense remains the only good tailor for me in Rome and amongst the very best in Italy, and in Europe.

    JM Weston appreciation thread

I was looking at those. May I kindly ask which size you wear with C&J, Carmina, Lobb or Edward Green? Cheers! Paul

He certainly can. I've made various changes to the WW Chan patterns over the years and now we even have a soft shoulder with more rounded quarters on some garments, such as the Solaro I've done with them this year. That is in turn quite different compared to their usual cut and with no...

    Attolini Herringbone Cashmere jacket

Am I right in saying that this jacket has been significantly shortened? Like 3-5cm?

That's precisely the point. He tried with several makers to find a solid alternative but never managed to. I tried the Korean once twice. Was definitely not on par with Orazio Luciano. So all in all, JMM still delivers a very solid product, with a great twist to Orazio's usual style. The...

But that's due to Orazio Luciano's own prices hikes.

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

Most likely 40% rather than 20. Platinum is 15% more expensive than rose gold for the same model. It’s however exciting to create something according to one’s desires. It might be the natural choice for bespoke aficionados.

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

I expressed myself badly. I meant to say that I did opt for one of the existing case materials. It's basically a Tank Cintrée on a platinum case. It's on the dial and the hands that I asked for some changes.

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

Absolutely. I’m guessing it can go much higher if you want specific gems or I don’t know what but mine is precisely 20% more expensive than the same case material but with a significant dial change, new hands and cabochon.

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

Valid point. Might be disturbing out of honesty or just because it disrupts one’s mental sanity. As long as it’s properly disclosed, I don’t have a problem with it. It’s the whole fake “mint, unpolished” condition that disturbs me. How many bottom of drawer Daytonas can there be…
