Pediwear in Halifax carry a range of Carmina shoes. Cheaper to return to a uk store than to Spain.

What I will say is , it’s matte but with a very soft sheen. Lovely leather for the winter. Bullet proof.

It’s matte oiled leather. Won’t take a shine. Don’t use standard cream or wax on it. Saphir have oiled cream.

I had to sell my Chelsea boots for this exact reason. I also find that the lace holes on high boots get closer the further up the shaft they are. Not had this with other makers.

Like c&j 348 but with higher instep and marginally shorter.

Rain on the left and 348 on the right. Ignore the advice on Simpson. I wear both rain and 348 in the same sizie. The Simpson last in the same size , I can’t get my foot in the shoe. The rain and 348 are almost identical apart from the slightly higher instep on the rain. If you want measurements...

Rain is a lovely last. To my eye nicer than 348.

I’ve found the width of the 348 and rain pretty much the same. Agree on your point about rain being less pointy than 348.

Most of my c&j are 348. The rain last is the closest to this last. I take fhe sane size in both. 360 is similar to sineu. Agajn same size in both. I will say , the Carmina’s have a slightly higher instep , which works for me very well.
