Sorry to hear this. I also have some Junkards on Dr Sole half soles and they are manageable in terms of flexibility. @Nashville1986, I like the 246 for a great all around straight cut. If you like IH888, you may be interested in relaxed tapered cuts with space in the top block in which case I would recommend the 622. I personally don't have a pair in black but I use Saphir Medaille d'Or Creme Pommadier for colour across all of my pairs. I second this. I have a pair of engineers from another brand in this leather and found it unbelievable how much the leather dye scuffs and abraids. I bought the moca weft type 3 from SoaS and I can confirm that red and blue are synonymous with moca and olive-ish in this case.
