    Badly fitting bespoke shirts

They‘re probably better than you think, as your tailor suggests. First, iron the shirts. Then, tuck the shirt tails completely into your pants. Those two things will “correct” many of the problems. Some years ago, I put a fair bit of effort into custom-made shirts, with several remakes. I...

    Which suit combination is better?

Agree! Definitely white (or light blue), definitely not black.

    Second suit advice

Zoltan has the Advanced European Tailoring shop at 2808 Adeline St, Berkeley. (510) 843-3881. I’ve spent many pleasant hours with him. He’s capable of complex work, if necessary, and has an eye for proper fit.

    Sizing loafers...

I have and use a shoe stretcher like that. It works, and is highly adjustable, but the shoes eventually (in a day or a week or a month) return to their original shape. One can buy shoe stretching spray which is supposed to improve the results: I haven’t used that.

Larger guy, nice sport coat advice

I think it’s likely, since you’ve just had a big change, that your weight will fluctuate for some time. What would you think of getting a less expensive jacket or two now, and waiting for the good one until you see your weight holding steady? Congratulations! It’s hard work to take off weight.

Vegan business casual shoes NOT imitating leather: Canvas or other options?

KEEN makes work shoes and boots that, in some models, use no leather, are tough, steel-toed, comfortable, highly regarded and made in the USA. I haven’t researched their glues and adhesives.

    Wearing dress shirts untucked?

Have you tried suspenders? I don’t know what works for you, but it’s possible that suspenders could hold your pants up at the widest part of your waist without cinching or a muffin top. What do you think?

Are Country Attire wax jackets good?

Hi, Mine is a different model, not biker-inspired. The materials look to be the same and are good. They say this model is cut slim - and they only have sizes 32 and 34 remaining. If one of those is your size, go for it - it’s a good looking coat and a steal.

Are Country Attire wax jackets good?

I have a Country Attire waxed jacket. Bought it about 5 years ago and haven’t worn it much. It’s well-made of good materials. The fit was quite bulky, for roundish people; I had it taken in. Th.e arms are short.
