A handsome pair of split toe derbies made by the talented craftspeople of John Lobb Ltd.
Made to measure to the original owner, unique hollowed shoe trees included, best fit a size 7UK gentleman with extra wide feet and a high instep.
Inside, the left shoe measures 6.7 cm wide on the heel, 26.5 cm long from toe to heel, 10 cm wide on the ball of foot. The uppers are 16cm on top of the ball of foot from welt to welt, and 23.5 cm on top of the instep from welt to welt.
Inside, the right shoe measures 6.3 cm wide on the heel, 26 cm long from toe to heel, 10 cm wide on the ball of foot. The uppers are 16cm on top of the ball of foot from welt to welt, and 23 cm on top of the instep from welt to welt.
The pair is made from the finest burgundy-coloured calfskin money can buy and has a round toe, thicker leather sole, pitched heels, leather lining, soft heelcups, clean stitching, and leather insoles. The toe stitch is hand-sewn as well as the side seams.
I have cleaned this pair and the shoe trees with antibacterial spray, and nourished the uppers with cream. They can be worn immediately.
