My only slight regret is they now fit a little loose, I wanted a slighly leaner fit to see how well the fabric aged and whiskered. Now that the cut is not so body concious I don't think I'll get the desired wear patterns I was trying to create.

The positive outcome is the color loss is intense, no fixative on the fabric to hold color perhaps?, it should be interesting to see how everyones jeans look come Spring.

this is my issue as well. denim and construction are beyond amazing but the leg is a bit too loose in proportion to the top block which is quite snug. im sure the top will loosen up but im afraid tte legs will still be too loose for my liking. and yes i thought of tailoring them but im hesitant to entrust denim so nice to a stranger

As it is, there's a hint of Frankenjean to the cut, with a mid rise and relaxed fit at the hips and the very narrow cut from the knee down. I wish the cut were a bit more fitted above, like the Grifters or the PBJ xx-005, to match the nicely tapered leg.

And ass-dependant. I think the people with the problems must be relatively assless.

I dont think they flatter my slightly pear shaped body !! Anyone else experience this ?

Wow, that's a wide range of differing, if not contrasting, opinions. Goes to show how democratic these jeans are and how you can customize the fit by getting either your usual size or sizing up 1. Nice.

Hi, looking for some sizing advice. My waist at its smallest point is 28" long, and where I like to wear my jeans, it is 29-29.5" long. A 34" inseam is the bare minimum I can go. I'm looking at getting a pair of size 28s, but I'm concerned they won't fit after reading posts about someone who wears a size 26 in APC NS who had to size up to a 29 in 5EP x SFs. I haven't tried any other dry jeans, and all my knowledge of them is online-read. This'll be my first pair.

Is 28 too small for me? Thanks.

My opinion and experience has been this:

My true size is somewhere between a 31w and 32w. I bought the 5EPxSF in 31x34. The first time I put them on they were TIGHT. Almost unbearable but not quite. I wore them around the house for the rest of the night and they stretched out just enough to be OK. Now, 3 weeks later they are perfect, and i don't need a belt to hold them up.

My point is that you are going to want a 29 waist.

I was actually a little disappointed that the inseam on my 31x34's actually measured just over 33" and once you consider stacking/honeycombing I was afraid they would be short. Over the first couple of days I was able to stretch and pull the legs out to a 34(ish) length.

Anyone have pictures of their pair broken in? I'm finally starting to get some noticeable wear on mine. I don't get to wear mine to as much as I'd like, but I assume others might be wearing theirs every day.

All SF x 5EP owners should post pics at the end of the month (29th). I'm interested to see the evolution of everyone's jeans. I figured posting at the same time would be more productive and make for some interesting comparisons.

I'll be honest and say that I've not worn mine as much since they stretched out, the small back pocket still results in some embarrassing contortionist maneuvers when trying to extract my wallet at Starbucks.

I'll try and give my jeans a fair share of wears during February and post on the 29th.

I wear 33 in Nudies and 31 in APC NS. I got 33's in the 5epxSF...........They were REALLY tight at first in the waist but have atretched to the perfect fit. Do not size down!! Sizing is all over the map for me.........31 in APC, 32 in RRL SB, 33 in Nudie SJ, and 34 in Flathead F310........
