Can someone tell me what the likely length of this jacket is - after two attempts the seller is unable to tell me whether he measures it as 33" from the top of bottom of the collar. Surely he knows?

I thought Traveler denoted fabric types, not a cut, although 'Traveler' is printed in the style box of the label. Anything on how the shoulders run in Traveler would be helpful - structure and width - which is given as 19" which may be correct. Less than 19" is entering "need to try it on" territory

Looking at his other brand jacket measurements which I can compare with ones I own or comparing another sellers who I know measures accurately the same way as me I would guess it is 33" from the TOP of the collar. A length of 33" from the top of the collar is more what I would expect from a 52L EZ- that would translate to a length from the bottom of the collar of 31.75" which seems more in line.

This is important as 33" from BOC is too long - subtracting 1 1/4 gives 31 3/4 which is perfect. A SR cutter told me they only have ONE inch leeway in jacket length before it starts to throw the body picture off - hence long coats for people with long legs shortens them.

Any other info you could glean would be most welcome - made for the German market so likely for large bodies? Just below PC is "NE" - I thought this was Spain as I have seen confirmed as made in Spain with NE, but maybe designates a factory in Italy insted of IT - seen SP confirmed as Spain also - maybe depends on age. I have also seen NO I think for Spain.

I think from info on this thread this was made 2000-2012 (when label changed)

Good afternoon Gentlemen,

I could not find any obvious direction on how to read these labels. Can anyone advise which line of Zegna this is?
The brand tag just says the mainline name and is the "Cool Effect 10 Pockets" jacket.

Thanks

It’s regular mainline Zegna.

it has a level 3 fabric, which is just above their basic offerings.

Thank you very much! How do you come to learn to read these labels? I saw the previous posts in this thread, but can't seem to discern these things myself.

Hey there, first forum post here. :)

I thrifted a beautiful E Zegna pure silk jacket (spalla camicia, suede applications, working lapel button and sleeve buttons, burgundy herringbone fabric, unlined) which fits me amazing. There is no fit printed on the factory label. I'm wondering if it was made to measure. The seller said no, but of course it is possible that he wasn't the first owner. There is a CQ written on the label in ink, also the client ID is 0000CQ. Are those the customer's initials or something else? Is there a year that can be identified? The Zegna label seems current. Also the product code is different from all the other Zegna codes I have seen.

I'm quite curious because if it wasn't MTM, there could be other jackets with the same fit and quality out there.

Hello, I just came across this absolutely ancient zegna suit and have no idea about the model, materials, or age of it. The brand label is different from any Zegna ones that I've seen (with a different crest) and the fabric tag has a bunch of numbers that I've never seen anywhere. It's also made of lambswool which I hadn't really seen be differentiated on any zegna pieces before (it feels really nice though lol).
I contacted the haberdasher but no response yet...

Any info about it? Also around what price do yall think I should sell something like this for?

Hi All,

I just found this forum and am hoping someone can help me with some general information on a couple of suits. I came across these two suits online and all that is available is some blurry photos of the suits and the tags. Can anyone tell a newbie what I am looking at here? I believe the 52R sizing would be equivalent to a 42R US. Is this correct? Thanks and apologies for all the lack of information.

Hello, this is my first post on SF. I'm looking at a suit and a sport coat on eBay. The measurements check out so I was wondering if it is a good buy or if these are too outdated? The particular seller does buy 2 get 1 free, which means they are likely priced high, but if both of these are winners then I can find a 3rd to go with it. Price is $200 for suit and $179 for coat, so the 3rd would be in that range as well.

The suit seems to be a Roma from the mid 2000s from the best I can tell from other threads of this site. It would be for church and maybe to wear to dinner on a cruise and whatever else comes up in life. I'm new to all of this so feel free to educate me.

Thanks!
