I know others may laugh, but....

Red Wing

Their boots are indestructible. Casual footwear and belts are okay.

Did I mention their boots?

Where? Ebay?

Do tell.

Anyways, I'll have to say hartmann. They are a quality brand. Can also be had on ebay for good prices.

I like old Hermes, old Vuitton and old Asprey.

There are many other other English makers who are also very worthy, but which have long been relegated to the collective memories of those over 80.

Morabito was a French label that was excellent; well known for its exotic skins.

Glaser Design- I find them to be rather big and "horsey". I think you can do a lot better from a design point although they seem to be well made and durable.

I like Bottega Veneta for most uses (as witnessed on WAYW), but I also like Hermes for smaller personal pieces & the new "Steve" bag would be a great addition (though way outside my budget).

I have admired Valextra from a far.. One day..

il Bisonte has a nice rustic Italian flavour & I love how the leather is naturally tanned & hence darkens with age, yet I never seem to bond with them as much (consequently I always give away to friends within a few months).

I know Prada is not liked here, but for everyday 'bash & crash' work bag, the Saffiano leather treatment does me fine.

Mulholland Brothers used to be awesome. Their current Chinese made stuff really sucks. Not even close to the original quality.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
