I dig the yellow vest. It's sure to attract attention and compliments/hate.

Not a huge fan of WWM/EG style stuff, I did check out both lines F/W stuff yesterday at a local store here in San Francisco and I actually really liked it. The owner of the store said that yellow vest sold out in a day or two. He had one for himself he showed me and it was pretty damn nice.

I almost bought this jacket. The fit and construction are amazing for the price.

that yellow vest

The jacket looks very nice but isn't the price a little much for it ($500)? EG has something similar to it, I wonder if the price point will be similar as well.

Anyone tried this jacket? Is it cut slimmer / modern? I have a 43 inch chest and a 34 inch waist and I'm concerned it might look too big around the waist... any help would be much appreciated.

Its pretty slim, imo.

A medium was perfect for me and I'm a 38 chest 32 waist.

I'm starting to come around to this collection after I saw these other colors pop up.

I hope McNairy can do more with pattern and texture rather than recreate his own pants for a different company.

Picked up the Woody B.D. chambray shirt at Unionmade several weeks ago and am very pleased.

http://www.unionmadegoods.com/woolrich_woolen_mills_Woody_B.D._Shirt_in_Chambray_2183.html

The 'dry hand chambray' appears to be very nice quality -- thin yet slightly stiff with a mild sheen to it. The shirt features single needle tailoring and a classic comfortable fit. The arms seem a bit long but nothing I can't live with.

The chambray looks great but sadly they are out of my size.

Tried on the chino Hoover pants a few weeks ago and was disappointed about the sizing. 30 was too tight and 32 giant. The material doesn't look like it would shrink much. Guess I'm out of luck here.

I actually ended up buying the Hoover pants in wool, a wile ago. It needed a small alteration at the waist, but they became my favorite pants this season. I ended up getting the other Hoover in the chino material and can't take them off. Material and styling are just what I was looking for. Particular the pocket material gives these pants a real solid feeling. McNairy might not be Suzuki, but I think there is some hope.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
