winter shoes/boots with slim jeans

Hi, first time poster, need some advice

I'm looking for shoes/boots to wear with my slim jeans.
I wear Nudies, slimjims
Need shoes/boots that'll last during the winter, keep snow and rain out

red wings GT, Alden Indys, timberland earth keepers, really depends on your budget and how deep the snow is. if you search there's a million pages on info on winter boots in a couple threads

do GT's really work with slim jeans? I always thought they were a chunkier boot that required a bigger hem, or is that just other Red Wing boots?

they are pretty chunky. how slim? if you got hem 8" or more it can work i'd think, you can cuff jeans to help the transition too

I think I'll just be doing Bean Boots with a sloppy tuck this winter.
