Thanks.

Stitches - you are a man who could make great use of cream (and to a lesser extent pale yellow) shirts in many of your fits.

i would tend to agree. i hit the blue shirt phase pretty hard, but when it comes time for another shirt spree, cream/ecru will be in order.

I wish you had better pictures to see the colors more accurately. These look quite good from what I can see. Maybe a minor quibble with the pocket squares.

We should probably slow down. A picture every two weeks is too much to keep up with.

The month of May is in the poorest of taste.

If that suit were a semi-solid (grey with a lot of striation - which is what I originally thought it was) that's be a great outfit.

Semi-solid to small check in the shirt to larger check in the square.

But I think the checked shirt and glenplaid are too optical illusion-y together.

I usually hate point folds but that looks nonchalant enough that I'm disinclined to pick that nit.

The hank is just stuffed, points up, so the nonchalance is actual (relatively speaking, of course)

The pattern mixing thing seems to be very personal. I recall an outfit that Stitchy posted combining two checks which looked to me like they were almost identical in scale. I even posted a telestrated version of the picture to demonstrate my perspective. For him, though, the overcheck in one of the patterns was dominant and overcame the similarity. In the case of what I'm wearing today, I don't get the visual vibration from the combination, but I can certainly understand why you might. FWIW, from more than a couple of feet away, I think the suit reads like your first impression of it.
