A beatiful pair of chestnut Westbournes just arrived in my mail. I love them.

I have always used Kiwi, sometimes together with Collonil Water Stop neutral, but which Kiwi colour would you suggest for my Westbournes?

Hi there,

fellow Swede! For chestnut shoes I use the normal Dunkelbraun (which in fact is red). Gives a nice depth. Doesn't C&J have an own chestnut polish? I bought two tins (Tan & Dark brown) at 80 SEK each IIRC, and they are very nice.

Trevlig helg!

I used Kiwi Tan on my Chestnut EG's and they darkened considerably. Be careful.

Try C&J's Tan shoe polish. That's what the guys at Graffords would recommend. They use it themselves on chestnut coloured shoes.

sort of on a tangent - st. crispin's uses kiwi as well for their extremely nice polishes.

Mine have been polished with mid-tan dozens of times, and they have not appreciably darkened.
