Versatility and Look the most important criteria. Tan forefront, snuff background. Disregard laces.

I was in the same dilemma. I bought the dark brown one because darker colors go better with different colors - in my opinion. In addition, the lighter one reminded of Clarks and they seemed to require more maintenance.

Great shoes, but get them snug...they will stretch.

I like both. The lighter ones for this time of year and the darker ones for fall/winter.

If I had to choose only one to start with, it would be the lighter of the two.

PG's stirring testimony aside, I think the darker suede might be better going into the fall.

I love them both as well as some of the shell options. You can't go wrong either way.
