Yowza. There are some nice watches there. Any more sites? I know he is looking in the sub-$1k range, and there appears to be a dearth at these sites in hunter-cased examples.
Well, it's not a hunter, it's in China, and the gent I'm asking for is wary of eBay for this.

That should be doable depending upon what quality you are looking for. I found a cheap 1930s German pocketwatch whilst on holiday in Holland for 10 euros last year. What it probably won't get you, however, is a serviced watch since I believe a service alone will cost around $100. [Mine, although probably un-serviced for many years, works well enough that I decided not to bother with a service but I question whether that would be appropriate with a good watch.]
