Got my black fleece suit today. The tags all say Black Fleece, but the inner logo says "1818". I thought BF and 1818 were
two separate lines. What's the deal with the 1818 tag?

Still needs to be tailored, but it fits great. The only thing I don't like is that it's double vented, will see if a tailor can get rid of that.
1818 is just the year BB was founded. The put that on lots of the products.

Tried sportcoats on today. The Madison fits pretty well. My store did not have anything in a Regent to try, but the Fitz wasn't bad. According to the SA helping me, the Madison fit me better. The shoulders are always an issue for me because of my traps, hence slopping, but the lines looked good. I seem to be a 42 or 43, but the 43 is what i was recommended.

I can't seem to find the same coat online, but it was a dark-blue linen sportcoat.

Believe they are displayed that way online; as style goes, I have personally seen this style on celebrities as of lately. Black Fleece definitely represents that fashion forward market and believe if you are buying chalk stripe Black Fleece you could pull it off :)

Yeah I probably didn't see that online when I put them in my cart. Oh well. Returned them yesterday for a full refund along w/ a tie and the Coniston boots

This may be a stupid question -- I didn't take the time to sift through the thread -- but does the semi-annual sale apply to online purchases as well?

Will the briefcases be on discount during the semi-annual sale?

If so, does anyone have any thoughts on the quality of their bags besides the SAB models? I'm considering one of these:

Buffalo Classic Briefcase: http://www.brooksbrothers.com/IWCat...lor=Brown&sort_by=&sectioncolor=&sectionsize=

Buffalo Soft Briefcase: http://www.brooksbrothers.com/IWCat..._Id=1590961&Parent_Id=228&default_color=Brown

Single Gusset Classic Briefcase: http://www.brooksbrothers.com/IWCat...lor=BROWN&sort_by=&sectioncolor=&sectionsize=

For what it's worth, I have carried a men's briefcase from Coach for several years now that I have been disappointed in (but it was a gift).

Just a heads up, BB has a lot of two for deals. But those deals go away for the sale. So you essentially get 30% off full price, which funny enough is actually a worse deal than their regular two for deals.

Absolutely right. The best deals at BB are stacking the corporate incentive sale (30% off) with the Brooks Buys (i.e. 3 shirts for $210). That's how I always pick up slacks, shirts, sweaters and anything else I'm buying more than one of.
