I don’t know how I did it but seems like I mixed up boxes in the scrum and ended up with a pair of Dovers from the warehouse sale that are a size too big. I don’t think they’re doing exchanges and I probably won’t be able to get over there until Thursday anyway but if anyone is interested in a pair of NIB HAF sole Dovers in dark oak in 10.5/11E on the 888 last with trees at 50% off, feel free to send me a PM.

Thanks for all the interest but looks like I'm going to swap these with another member who grabbed a 10.5 (my size) but needs and 11. If for some reason things don't work out, I'll let you all know.

They are definitely restocking on EGs but they’re just not moving at 50% off. They’re probably restocking on the Peals but they dropped the discount to 80 so there wasn’t much left when I was in there today.

Not my size and already have them, but would hate to see Brooks Brothers transitioning out their Peal C&J for BB.

I should mention that @AHS was kind enough to swap Dovers with me as we both seemed to settle on the wrong size initially - luckily, we both had the right size for the other person! And then he was very kind to pass on a pair of the Inverness at cost.

While I was there yesterday, I heard the following: at one point, I was told a bulk buyer/reseller had purchased the entire Allen Edmonds inventory before the sale even started - I guess that's why they were mentioned in the ads but nowhere to be found; then I was told they had an offer from a bulk buyer to purchase the rest of the EGs for 50%. Unfortunately, I think they were contemplating a drop on EGs to 80%, but this mystery buyer screwed us all lol; at another point I was told that whatever didn't sell was going back on the website at 50% off, although I wonder if EG would have anything to say about that.

My takeaway is that the bulk buyer is the most likely option, but I'd say there's a sliver of a possibility that the EGs drop to 80 at some point late in the day. Unfortunately, I have a household of sick people so couldn't make it into the city today, but someone should drop in and check it out if in the area

Yes, 9.5D but I think I’m going to keep these since they should fit. That may change as my wife has noticed that my collection of unworn shoes is beginning to dwarf my actual shoe rotation
