What Would the Market Say This is Worth?

Isn't there a rule of thumb that a used clothing item in very good condition is worth 15% of MSRP? That jacket looks mint. I've paid $150 for a used Battistoni jacket and was happy.
I think it is worth $80-$120. Lie (along with many others) and call it NWOT and you would get more.

I got a used Faconnable by Cantarelli pure cashmere brown with blue windowpane jacket. Patch pockets 40r in mint condition for $100 on ebay. If I could have seen it in person I would have paid more. Quality wise it is nicer than my Corneliani and Canali jackets. Really beautiful, but resale is tough because nobody knows the brand. The size on your jacket is also not that common--46L is a big size

You ask for people's opinions on what something is worth and then insult them when their opinion dosen't match yours? Pathetic. What makes it amusing is that you even list the reason for low resale value: it's "slept on." Your -- by the way, who are you and why does your opinion matter for ****? -- opinion on Canterelli versus Corneliani isn't going to do much to change low value for a non-desired brand. I agree with the above posters. Jacket worth $100 tops. Façonnable not worth much on here or on eBay even when brand new despite your overt shilling your own for sale listing.

afaik, all faconnable cantarelli stuff is half-canvassed, which further limits the ceiling price a bit. if not NWT, i'd say 150-ish. NWT, maybe 225ish.

obviously you might find the ideal 46-chest tall guy who wants precisely such a jacket and is ready to pay 300, but the odds are that you won't... so 300 would not be a market-clearing price.

nice jacket btw. if it were a EUR 58, i'd consider it myself.

^ Looking at the pic of the tag, doesn't it actually say it's a size 58?

+1 If you're asking people how much they're willing to pay for it, don't cry if no one else feels it's worth the same as what you think it is. Grow up, seriously. Besides, we're not lowaballing. If you want me to be honest, I wouldn't even take it if it was free. **** is hideous.

Agreed ^^^^^ Hey Hater, Bigbris1, I don't think you know who I am, I live in NYC!!!!! So I am not sure what ghetto chic you're talking about. As for designers I have Christian Dior, Ralph Lauren, Kenneth Cole, Oscar De la Rente, Sean Jean's (designer apparel not his casual pieces). CLEARLY you're not talking about me. No offense but I am really not the type to discuss brands in your type of bragging fashion. To me you can look hot, at any price range if you know fabrics and tailoring. Since you want to be pretentious then don't ask for anyone's opinion on your cheap ass jacket. JERK OFF. People like you are low class!!!!! Faconnable is not a name brand. Your pieces are not couture. It is cheap. No moron should pay over 50 bucks for a FAT suit.

Buttler agreed. This fool is acting like his cheap jacket lining made out of Rayon is worth something. to whommmmmmm????!!!!! It isn't Tom Ford. It's not Gucci. It is not Zegna. It is not Michael Kors. It is not Bastian. GET the point. I hope no one buys your ugly jacket.

What an accomplishment;
you've managed to amass an incredible 187 posts in the 2 weeks you've been here,
and in doing so, insult or offend almost everyone you've typed to.
I'll be very suprised if you last another week.

Manoflint, did you count all my posts? Or are you guesstimating? You said something in a previous post that was incorrect and now your feelings are hurt. Do I care? Not really. And I have helped people. Had some great positive HELPFUL posts. Maybe you're just an ultra negative person who sees everything in a negative light.

Your post count is under your user name. Clearly, you need a lot of attention and like to pontificate. The OP on this thread (BigBris1) greatly contributes to this forum. You do not. Your legacy is here, for all to see: http://www.styleforum.net/search.php?searchid=8269255 Keep hanging yourself.

He asked a question, what do I wear, I answered him. He asked what was the worth of his rayon jacket, I stated my opinion. I don't need to hang myself. This is an open forum. I don't care if you don't think I am helpful. This is an open forum. Put on some big boy pants and stop weeping about how many posts I have etc etc. You're creepy!!!

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
