Yeah, too bad the team behind Bosch didn’t get claim the Lincoln Lawyer IP too…they’ve done a much better job keeping things alive.

I haven’t read the Lincoln Lawyer books but honestly I’m surprised the show fell off so fast. You’d think they’d have plenty of good content to mine from the books to not have to resort to dumb legal show tropes and nonsense plot lines.
Eh. I love him, but Connelly has been recycling his own plots and tropes for years.

Oh yeah there's the primary case, the secondary and dealing with management but there's just a flow in
unfolding it I find very readable and escapist.

I’m ok with some recycling (especially if you are trying to make the show being a mix of “case of the week” with a big season long case), but you’d think they’d be able to get more than 2 seasons of TV script before it just turns to lunacy.

And even season 2 had some pretty dumb elements. I can suspend a lot of disbelief to make legal dramas more suspenseful, but I want them to at least attempt to portray the legal system semi accurately.

Second three episode batch of Arcane hit this weekend. I love the show, don't get me wrong, but these episodes felt rushed. Some characters made decisions that didn't fully work for me and there are several storylines, making it harder to keep track. There's so much going on that a couple of times I thought, "Oh yeah, I forgot about them." My other issue is the music. The songs are good, but there are a couple of times where it felt like they dropped a music video into the show. It's more intrusive than I remember from the first season, and it feels a bit like they're trying to maximize soundtrack sales. It's still gorgeous and there are some emotional events that hit hard, and the voice acting continues to be phenomenal, so it's still a great show, just not quite as perfect as the first season.
So I ran through the final three episodes, which came out yesterday. It finished strong. Storylines came together well. My biggest complaint is what I said previously- they needed to dial it back on the soundtrack. Often distracting, occasionally outright annoying. Still, pretty great overall. Not a good as the first season, though.

Anyone watching DUNE Prophecy? Thoughts?

MHO, Two episodes in, and so far its good not great, I'll stick with it. I hope, in the end, it can tell a decent cohesive story.

If the main conflict is the mystery soldier dude vs Bene Gesserit, we know who that ends but could be fun to watch it play out. Any theories on what exactly he is? Is he a ghola (sp?)

Also, the Voice.... for me, it seemed too easy for them the develop the Voice... and they seem so angry (not calm, but forceful like in the films) when they use it. maybe a nitpick... but whatever, I guess that's what we do.

I’m enjoying it, I like that universe.
