The Kareem Abdul Jabbar and I don't speak jive jokes are still classics to this days.
The KAJ bit is my favorite running gag of the movie. Better than the guy in the taxi, better than captain oveur asking weird questions to Joey , even better than no parking in the red zone (a close second).

the killing

I liked The Killing.

Has 'Strangers on a Train' been mentioned?

It can and has happened
Yes, I wasn't clear, I know it can. I was talking about objectors that might say AMZ would never do that.

There are discussions all the time on music forums about streaming vs physical media for just such reasons as we're talking about. Content on Tidal and Qobuz changes all the time. (Of course, those are streaming services, not download sites, but the fact is stuff changes and without the actual record, CD or dvd/bluray there's a chance you could lose your content--even if you purchased it.

Unless you can hold it in your hands, you don't own it. I buy books on Kindle, but if I really care about it, I get the print version, too.

primal fear is a really good one !

i saw A Few Good Men recently it's got a terrific cast and just really competently put together .

idk if Serpico fits the list ( the courtroom of the streets! ha ) but i got through most of it and had to turn it off because it got too intense for me lol . Lumet is a maniac ! i find his films pretty thoroughly transgressive . i guess i should get around to 12 angry men .

I watched The Good Shepherd (2006) the other night. Was quite interesting, but the pacing was awful. I only watched half. Will finish it up this week.

I didn't mention A Few Good Men as it already was spoken about. A classic!
