I suspect much of it will go 'missing'; the meagre baggage compensation is cheaper than the major exercise needed to sort out the baggage mountain.

Well, they still don't have any information. They say our bags are still in London but they're going to be flown to the US with all of the other lost bags and sent on to us.. But I don't believe a word they're saying.
I don't understand why BA is flying the kuggage that has piled up to Milan for "processing." Bizarre. Can someone explain the logic to me?
There's no place in the Greater London area that could accomodate that need? I find that difficult to believe. That's like US Airways sending all the bags that piled up in Philly last year to Phoenix for sorting.
If going to London from the Northeast region and looking for premium seats, look into EOS (Stansted) and Silverjet (Luton). More pleasant in almost every way and cheaper, too. EOS will even give you a free iPod currently. I travel a couple hours to get to NYC airports and avoid Heathrow/BA.
