What goes well with black denim?

Just picked up a pair of black jeans, so I'm trying to figure out what tends to look good with them without having the appearance that I just got out of jail. Suggestions?

Well, if you really need to ask, then you should probably start out with white or grey. there's no way you can go wrong (as far as I know). Just be careful with brown.

i often feel black denim is easier to match with than blue denim. i think you can pretty much wear anything except solid yellow or orange on top
